Our Next Free Class: April 14th Super Build A Pond Day! |
|||||||
We’ve moved!! We are so excited and you will be too! You will be so amazed at the difference a few more square feet will make both inside the store and outside in our display area. We have finished four pond displays…only fifteen more to go. We now have a birding section inside the store along with our many other gift items. We also have an even greater selection of pottery than last season, new ironwork accent pieces, and much more on the way. We have some of the newest Al’s Garden Art fountains and statuary to enhance our existing inventory. We have an indoor educational facility that will top any other in the nation. In fact, I believe it to be the only one of its kind in the nation! With our new facility, we can demonstrate pond building both indoors and outdoors. We have already had two very successful wholesale seminars where we held indoor pond builds. We look forward to many classes with you that will not be subject to the weather. Skip, Jeremy, Jay and I have survived all the hubbub of the past 3-4 months and look forward to the 2007 season. Skip has a new grandchild; Jeremy’s daughter turns one-year-old this month; Jay has a new house; and I am enjoying each day as it comes, especially if my grandchildren come with it. Nancy leaves us this month going to New Mexico to work at a “Dude Ranch” with her husband. We’re going to miss her. We will have four new people to work with us this summer, so come by and welcome them with us. Our plants will be in the week of March 19th, Domestic Koi are selling now, and our Imported Koi will be ready about the middle of April.

Jeremy's Tips Time to pull out the filter media from your biological filter and rinse it out thoroughly. Use your pond water if possible to save your bacteria colonies. Check the integrity of the filter and replace it if necessary. Also inspect and clean out your skimmer filter, basket, and pump to insure that they are ready for the upcoming season. Use a pond-vac in your pond to remove any debris or sludge that might have accumulated on the bottom as well as that in your biological filter. Continually replenish your biological filter with bacteria, since colonies diminish through the winter months.
Remember to dechlorinate your water if you are using a municipal water source.We carry all of these products in the store and will be happy to assist you in your pond’s spring cleaning. See our new Birding Section!
